When you think of an ecommerce search functionality then in most cases it’s not very sophisticated. If you’re lucky you get some autosuggestions. If not – there’s plenty of work involved.

What if the search is smarter, could it add more value to the user? We know so and there’s tons of research about it too – if you care to google a bit.

Search should be smart and show you your recent searches and in case there’s none – suggest you some top ideas to search and evolve on the go – with you. And once you already started the search, why just stick to the text results, why not throw in some delicious and relevant treats that can be eaten right-away?
